Merrillville Vascular Center Hosts Open House

09.15.08

Open house at state-of-the-art center offers tours, educational resources and an opportunity to meet the vascular access care team.
Merrillville, Indiana. 9/15/08 - Lifeline Vascular Access, the nation’s leading provider of vascular access management services to physicians and dialysis patients, announces an open house celebration for the Merrillville Vascular Center of Nephrology Associates of Northern Indiana, on Thursday, September 18, 2008. The event is for medical personnel, legislators, staff and community members to learn more about the services the center offers. The open house will provide an opportunity for the community to interact with vascular access specialists and receive educational materials about kidney disease, care and prevention.

Located at 90 & 100 West 86th Avenue, Merrillville, the center provides outpatient vascular access interventions and services for dialysis patients. Hemodialysis is a method of cleaning the blood when the kidneys have failed, and for this to happen most successfully, patients require a special access to the bloodstream, called a “vascular access.” The health and success of an access contributes greatly to the health of the dialysis patient.

“A successful vascular access is critical to good dialysis, our center ensures success and has been a welcoming, friendly place since day one,” said Dr. Thomas Golubski, Medical Director. “We are thrilled to be providing our services to the greater Merrillville community.”

The new Lifeline Vascular Access managed center brings a team of nephrologists, radiologists and vascular surgeons to provide high quality vascular access care tailored to dialysis patients in the Merrillville area. The center offers a range of services for dialysis accesses, including angiogram, declotting and catheter placement all in an outpatient setting to prevent missed dialysis treatments.

“The level of care at the Merrillville Vascular Center is excellent,” said one patient. “The staff is respectful and professional, and it’s much faster and more convenient than going to the hospital.”
